Heavy Vehicle Testing, further exemptions and ADR

Following on from a suspension of MOT testing due to COVID-19, DVSA has announced that from 4 July 2020 it will restart testing for heavy vehicles in England and Wales.

To manage the existing backlog and pressure on DVSA human resources, it has also issued a 3-month exemption for vehicles due to be tested in June and will issue further exemptions for July and August tests.
The exemptions will be applied automatically.

We would urge you to use the MOT history service to check the expiry dates for your vehicles.

Please then refer to the table below, published on GOV.UK, which confirms when vehicles with exemptions will be due for test.
